THE CONFLICT BETWEEN THE JUDICIARY AND THE EXECUTIVE

The current public discussion about the alleged matter involving the Head of the Judiciary and the Executive once more highlights the need for all citizens of Trinidad and Tobago to assess the adequacy of the constitutional arrangements that inform how our country is governed.

 

As a result, the Constitution Reform Forum (CRF) will be hosting a panel discussion, entitled The CJ issue and constitutional reform on Thursday 3 March, 7.30p.m in the Audio Visual Room of the National Library, corner Hart and Abercromby Streets, Port of Spain.

 

The panelists will be Dr. Olabisi Kuboni, Head of the Distance Education Centre, UWI, St. Augustine and Chair of the CRF, Mr. Michael Theodore, Lecturer, Sir Hugh Wooding Law School and member of the Working Committee of the CRF, and Dr. Kirk Meighoo, political analyst and Research Fellow of the Trinidad and Tobago Institute of the West Indies.(TO BE CONFIRMED)

 

This panel discussion will be another of CRF’s continuing efforts to engage the people of Trinidad and Tobago in the very important dialogue to ensure that we understand and are prepared to take responsibility for matters related to the governance of the country.
